Inspired by the real destruction of forests in Kalimantan, Indonesia, THE LAST TREE follows a mother orangutan and her child as they watch their rainforest home vanish. As mining, logging, and environmental destruction push endangered wildlife toward extinction, silence slowly replaces life. Through the eyes of nature, this cinematic short film asks a simple yet haunting question: who is the real wild beast?
